101 Dalmatians Movie Night

It is #Movienightfriday and this Friday is 101 Dalmatians. Cruella came out a few months ago and we are trying again with the little one. As y’all know, we don’t do things simply in this house We also don’t just choose one film to watch. As you can see below. There are several 101 Dalmatian films, both animated and live action.

Now, you make be looking for a spot filled menu, but that is where we differentiate here. I love using the geographical location of the film to great menus that level up the lessons in the films. 101 Dalmatians is set in Britain. More specifically begins and ends in London, England but does take most of the film traveling the countryside of England.

This is not the only franchise by Disney set in England. Disney’s Peter Pan, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, Mary Poppins, Sword in the Stone, Winnie the Pooh franchise, Alice in Wonderland and Robin Hood are all set in Britain during different time periods. So you can absolutely refuse these recipes for those films as well.

Matthew and I went to do volunteer work at our local animal shelter. There were no Dalmatians and no kid friendly dogs at this time (more often than not because they get adopted quickly). But we do play with the cats.

We did a compare and contrast of animated to the live action and ate our traditional British foods. We also got a British Snack Box on amazon, which was one of our favorites.

We also made Cruella Frappuccinos as our drink/dessert and activities.
