Fairytales in Minecraft *This Post contains Amazon Affiliate Links* We had plans do another Minecraft lesson but quickly found this mod and I thought it was perfect for a long lesson, especially after we had a rough night of barely no sleep and an even more aggravating morning trying to get logged in to a Doctor’s portal with 0 response from their technical support or the Doctor and his staff. Mommy just needed to chill and have coffee. However, this is another great ELA lesson for kids. So I found this awesome Fairy Tale Land that has these stories and things to find. First we went to the library to grab these books. There was a lot more but check out our posts for more information. I like to grab 2-3 versions of what I can find but I did have a bunch that we already owned, and our library is limited. But everything changes when she meets Prince Phillip and falls in love Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi The old wood-carver Geppetto decides to make a wonderful puppet which can dance and turn somersaults, but by chance he chooses an unusual piece of wood – and the finished puppet can talk and misbehave like the liveliest child. Read the traditional nursery rhyme on the first page and then read the related story that follows. The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Sciezka You thought you knew the story of the “The Three Little Pigs”… You thought wrong. The Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villenueve MinaLima, the award-winning design studio behind the graphics for the Harry Potter film franchise and the creators of the illustrated Jungle Book and Peter Pan, reimagine the beloved French fairy tale The Beauty and the Beast in this deluxe unabridged edition illustrated with stunning full-color artwork and nine 3-D interactive features—published to coincide with the release of the blockbuster Disney live-action musical film starring Emma Watson, Ian McKellen, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, and Emma Thompson. Generations of readers have been bewitched by the epic love story of a beautiful young girl imprisoned in the magical castle of a monstrous beast. Now, the classic fairy tale is brought to life in this spectacular illustrated edition as originally envisioned by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve in 1740. Goldilocks and the Three Bears by James Marshall “What a sweet child,” says a newcomer in town about Goldilocks. “That’s what you think,” a neighbor replies. For Goldilocks is one of those naughty little girls who does exactly as she pleases, even if that means sampling the three bears’ porridge, breaking Baby Bear’s chair, and sleeping in his bed. James Marshall’s offbeat and inventive telling of this familiar tale will enchant readers, young and old.”A delightfully irreverent retelling of an old favorite is illustrated with delicious humor and contemporary touches.” —Booklist, starred review On top of reading, we plan on watching Goldie and Bear on Disney Plus. It is a show that combines all fairy tales into one world. We also like building in these mods so I found a list of fairy tales he knows to create homes for these characters as well. We read the stories and broke down the stories before we got to building.
