Perfect for any occasion. We love Red Velvet Cupcakes in this house but try to avoid sweets unless its an occasion. But since its Valentines day, why not indulge a little. It is also also our Sous Chef Matthew’s Birthday so he’s also getting a Vanilla Birthday Cake.
Anyway, when I was a kid, my mom (Nana) and I spent an entire summer searching for the best red velvet recipe. We tried around 25 and still weren’t satisfied. While all the recipes were fairly moist they just didn’t have that chocolate flavoring a red velvet cake or cupcakes is supposed to have. So I did created my own recipe solving the problem and it has become one of my top selling flavors. We even make it in cake form.
