I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest peach fan. It’s great to cook with and in certain dishes but on its own, it’s not on my top favorites.
My mom, aka Nana, loves her peaches. She eats them a lot, almost daily if she can. So when she got a hail of peaches from the store one day, she asked if we could make peach cobbler. So that’s exactly what we did. We made sure to save the pits as they are seeds to try to grow them Not sure how well that will go over being in New York, but we are going to try. We’ve been saving scraps and seeds for possible foods for Matthew’s little garden.
