It is Souffle day and we are going to have a blast. Now I had to make a cheese and a chocolate in culinary school. We also had a test on it. I was so scared. Souffles need to puff up but any little thing can make it go wrong. You want to eat it before it deflates, which is why most restaurants will not have it on the menu. However, it is super delicious and one of our favorites.
A soufflé is a baked egg-based dish originating in France in the early eighteenth century. Combined with various other ingredients it can be served as a savory main dish or sweetened as a dessert. The word soufflé is the past participle of the French verb souffler which means “to blow”, “to breathe”, “to inflate” or “to puff”
