The Jungle Cruise Movie Night

Today the Jungle Cruise comes out and we are ready for a fun movie night. Yes, our Fridays, especially in the summer, are meant for movies. This summer was not exactly how we planned it. There was so much rain that we couldn’t make use of our outdoor movie theater. On top of that, the little one hasn’t been feeling 100% so he has been inside this week. Plus we have officially begun working on our move. Going back and for the between NYC and Catskills take up a lot of time. Thankfully, we still make time for our movies, sometimes we just have to do them in the car instead.

Anyway, I was excited for this film and to watch the Matthew. I love Disneyland and Disney World and this film is based off one of my favorite rides but with two actors I follow their careers closely, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. This film can be scarier for young children, so be yarned. There was also a line of unspoken understanding about LGBTQ of the time.

On to the lesson we have set. We watched the Jungle Cruise ride it was based on, which I linked above. Then we looked at the map and located the Amazon. We also looked at photos and videos from the area to really get a good feel of it.

We learned so much. We went off on a tangent in our lesson about deforestation but then brought it back to planning for the movie. We created fun crafts and planned out a menu based on camping (as if we were camping in the jungle). I hope you all have fun in your own movie night.
